The renowned glasses manufacturer Luxottica had just debuted their new Atlanta Service Center and wanted to showcase each step of their intensive production process. Tasked with capturing the ins and outs of the complex operation, we arrived with a compact and fast-moving production team. First things first, we walked through every aspect of Luxottica’s factory and took note of each stage of the glasses manufacturing process, familiarizing ourselves with the work itself to better inform our visual documentation moving forward.

Next, we interviewed vital team members, unpacking the passion for their work that informs their commitment to quality. This information, coupled with the intensive tour earlier, ensured a well-rounded dive into the factory operations themselves. We captured hours of footage of the machines, technicians, and products developed at the Service Center to accompany the interviews we conducted earlier.

The final and most vital aspect of the project was the intensive post production process, which we conducted from our in-house editing bay. Weaving the hours and hours of machinery footage, technical vernacular, and complex operations into digestible sections that succinctly communicated the entire process was a big challenge that demanded acute attention to detail.

We found success in playing to the Luxottica team’s passionate descriptions of the facility, contrasting their enthusiasm with engaging visuals from the factory floor. Our work culminated in a comprehensive and informative video that speaks to the viewer from the hearts of Luxottica’s best and brightest while showing off the reasons they’re known for such quality work.
